Kettlewell Village Hall exterior

KETTLEWELL VILLAGE HALL

Kettlewell is a small village with many holiday cottages and second homes. The Hall is well used by locals but there is a financial need to maintain or increase the level of outside bookings, and this means there was an urgent requirement to modernise the kitchen. A £1,000 grant was awarded towards kitchen improvements.

Due to the bad weather experienced during Scarecrow week the takings are much lower than usual, so your cheque is especially welcome.” Mrs J L Foster (Hon. Sec)

The singers perform

THE LANGCLIFFE SINGERS, SETTLE

This choir gives concerts in North and West Yorkshire in a predominantly rural area, providing an opportunity for members and audiences to experience a challenging and appealing repertoire. Their piano was difficult to keep in tune and had missing notes and noisy pedal action. The Craven Trust grant of £1,000 helped to purchase a better rehearsal piano, which can also be used by other groups in St John’s Hall, Settle.
