Grants for community
projects and groups
How We Can Help Community Groups
The Craven and Beamsley Trusts are committed to supporting community-based projects and individual cases of hardship in the Craven area. We give grants (generally £100 - £1,000) to community projects, groups and individuals in this area.
OUR TARGET AREA INCLUDES:
What we Support
The Craven Trust gives grants (generally £100 - £1,000) to community projects and groups in this area. A few examples of what we can support are:
- Equipment and capital purchases to improve the organisations services, administration, functions etc
- Training (volunteers, trustees)
- Set-up costs (eg for a new project, materials or equipment etc)
- Severe cases of hardship of a domestic nature (not businesses)
The trustees wish to promote their work as widely as possible to ensure that all community groups, large or small are able to apply, however grants are NOT given to:
- Animal charities
- Students
- Foreign travel
- National charities/medical charities are generally not eligible, although grants may be made on an exceptional basis if it can be proved that the benefits are for an organisation or person in Craven Trust’s area of benefit.
